Our Mission
Every year, 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized in the United States. We refuse to accept that fate. Our mission at Unleash the Paws is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the forgotten—giving them love, care, and the second chance they deserve.

But rescue alone isn’t enough. Too many animals are left behind, waiting endlessly for a home that may never come. That’s why we’re working to create something extraordinary—a sanctuary for the ones no one wants, a place where every animal is safe, loved, and valued, no matter how long it takes to find them a family.

Right now, Unleash the Paws is a team of just two people. We do it all—pulling dogs and cats off the streets, providing medical care, fostering, handling adoptions, managing our website, and sharing their stories to find them homes. We run the rescue from our own home, pouring everything we have into these animals. Up until 2025, we operated solely using our own money. But in 2025, we were finally approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the IRS, allowing us to accept tax-deductible donations and expand our efforts.

Our vision goes beyond rescue. We dream of a one-of-a-kind sanctuary and campground experience, where guests can stay in cozy cabins, unwind in nature, and connect with our adoptable animals in a peaceful, healing environment. One stay could change a life—maybe even two.

In the future, we’ll also be creating freeze-dried treats to help sustain our rescue efforts. But right now, we rely entirely on donations to continue saving lives. Every dollar goes directly to the animals—providing food, medical care, and a safe place to heal.
